Story Line: An 11-year-old girl (Moli Hall) discovers an e-mail scam that promises $3 million. With a little technical wizardry aided by a power surge, the girl and her younger brother end up getting millions transferred into their bank account and ticking off the mobsters behind the scam.

Bottom Line: Kids type the darnedest things. This family thriller shows just how savvy youngsters have gotten behind a keyboard. The bad guys in the film strike an interesting balance between menacing and dim-witted, giving this movie a bit of a Home Alone feel. Additional comic relief is delivered by Mike Jansen, who plays Sylis P. Murphy, a police detective who is jolted in the power surge and turned into a crazy man with expert decoding skills. The movie has a few groan-worthy dialog moments and some toilet humor but takes on a timely subject. Children should respond well to the material, but some may feel a bit above what is offered here. As this is a family film about how clever kids have gotten with technology, it’s unfortunate that sometimes the movie plays to the lowest common denominator.
