Kiosk company will run sweepstakes between March 16 and April 29
By Susanne Ault -- Video Business, 3/9/2007
MARCH 9 | TNR Entertainment Corp. is offering a free DVD rental each day for a year.
In the promotion, a winner will be selected each day between March 16 and April 29 to receive a $365 New Release-branded Visa check card to use toward TNR’s $1 a night rentals. The contest is running at the company’s 1,500 The New Release rental machine locations.
To enter, people can visit the company’s Web site, www.thenewrelease.com, or sign up by mail-in entries found at TNR kiosks. No purchase is necessary.
“We wanted a fun, innovative and enticing way to introduce the concept of renting DVDs at our kiosks to more customers in the grocery channel,” said Tony Sciolla, TNR chief marketing officer. “This special promotion is a win for our retail partners as well, who benefit from what we expect will be greater traffic during the promotion. We know the winners will definitely be making additional trips for their daily DVDs.”
TNR machines are found in such grocery chains as Food 4 Less, H-E-B, Kroger, Publix and Ralph’s.
