JULY 25 | In a first of its kind promotion, Starz Home Entertainment is bringing together subscription download site Vongo and retailer Trans World Entertainment for a series of promotions tying online purchases through Vongo with in-store DVD purchases at FYE stores.
As part of the campaign, consumers who download Starz Entertainment’s Hellboy: Sword of Storms through Vongo will get a $5 coupon redeemable on select DVDs at Trans World Entertainment FYE stores through Aug. 15.
Meanwhile, FYE and Suncoast shoppers who buy select Anchor Bay Entertainment fitness titles will get a free two-week trial subscription to Vongo. Vongo also will offer coupons online that can be printed out and used at FYE and Suncoast stores.
“We are extremely excited about this partnership with Trans World Entertainment,” Starz Home Entertainment president Bill Clark said. “We are in a unique position with our sister company’s subscription movie download service Vongo to offer promotions that drive traffic both to retail outlets as well as online. We look forward to expanding this promotion over the next year.”
