Cult label to begin streaming campy classics
By Susanne Ault -- Video Business, 8/16/2007
AUG. 16 | For the first time, VCI Entertainment is serving up its library full of cult and obscure works for digital delivery.
VCI titles will be available at the Web site ScreamTV.net, which streams programming for free. The site also offers some titles on demand for a la carte and subscription pricing.
Featured VCI titles at ScreamTV.net include Red Vamps Classic Tales of Horror and Layne’s Late Nite Massacre.
“This is the next phase in VCI’s long and successful history,” said VCI president Robert Blair. “We are embracing new technologies, and we feel this is the next vital step in our avenue of growth. VCI has always dreamt of being in control of our own programming network and this is the first step to that goal. By working with ScreamTV.net we will be able to expand our customer growth worldwide.”
