AUG. 30 | It pays to play with Amazon.com, as the site is now offering up to eight free high-definition titles with the purchase of either an Xbox 360 HD DVD add-on drive, 60GB PlayStation 3 or 80GB PS3.
With the Xbox 360 HD DVD drive, shoppers can select seven HD DVD titles from a selection of more than 50 titles. King Kong comes already bundled inside the drive package.
With either capacity PS3 system, shoppers can choose eight Blu-ray titles from a selection of more than 100.
Quantities are limited, and people must submit request forms by Oct. 31 to be eligible for the offers.
This Amazon.com offer builds upon existing high-def manufacturers’ offers being waved at customers.
Through Oct. 31, people who purchase any Blu-ray player are eligible to receive five free Blu-ray titles. And, similarly, people who buy any Toshiba HD DVD player or notebook also can pick up five free HD DVD titles.
