SEPT. 6 | The Digital Entertainment Group has created a new “Enhancing the High Definition Experience” brochure as part of the group’s ongoing effort to serve as a clearinghouse on high-definition and, ultimately, promote high-def home entertainment.

The new piece, unveiled at the CEDIA convention in Denver Wednesday, is a follow-up to DEG’s HDTV Guide, distributed last year through CEDIA members and retailers.

The format-neutral “Enhancing” brochure is intended to educate consumers who already own HDTV sets about their other high-def entertainment options. It covers high-def packaged media including Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD, videogames, digital video recorders; video-on-demand; high-def sound and digital radio; along with details on A/V separate components and connectivity options for HDMI and multi-room systems.

“This brochure is the ideal accompaniment to the DEG’s HDTV Guide,” said Marty Gordon, chair of DEG’s communications committee and VP of Philips Electronics. “It details for consumers how to take their HDTV to the next level, providing them with the proper tools to have an even richer high-definition experience.”

DEG members include all the major studios as well as consumer electronics companies.

To request a hard copy or PDF version of the “Enhancing the High Definition Experience” brochure or to arrange a larger print run, call the DEG Office at 310.888.2201.
