SPHE, United Entertainment Korea ink home video deal

FROM VARIETY: Duo to to distribute titles on DVD, Blu-ray

DEC. 3 | FROM VARIETY: SEOUL -- Sony is to reenter the Korean home entertainment market through a local licensing deal.

The studio's Sony Pictures Home Entertainment unit closed its own Korean video releasing operation in September.

SPHE announced Monday that it had inked a deal with United Entertainment Korea (UEK) to distribute Sony titles on DVD and Blu-ray.

Shout pitches Phillies
Shout Factory held a premiere screening of World Series Film: Phillies vs. Rays on Nov. 24 at Cinema De Lux in Philadelphia. The DVD is now available, and the Blu-ray version streets Dec. 16.
