The cast and crew of Kung Fu Panda celebrated the film’s DVD release as well as new story Secrets of the Furious Five at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood, Calif., on Nov. 9.

On Nov. 10, a 5½-inch wax model of Tinker Bell was unveiled at the Madam Tussauds wax museum in London, coinciding with Disney’s DVD and Blu-ray release of Tinker Bell.

Paramount presented a $25,000 check to the LSU Tiger Band, who won the ESPN Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Battle of the Bands, on Oct. 25.

To celebrate Nov. 18 DVD release Toots, a launch party was held at Foley’s Pub in New York with the filmmaker and friends on Oct. 21.

Sony held an Open Season 2 “Pet Paradiso” screening at the Tribeca Grand in New York on Oct. 15. The DVD will be released Jan. 27.

Actress Aria Wallace, star of Roxy Hunter and the Myth of the Mermaid, accepted the Best Youth Actress award at the Kids First! Film Festival, held at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in North Hollywood, Calif., on Oct. 4.

The cast and crew of Lower Learning celebrated the film’s theatrical release at Laemmle’s Sunset 5 in West Hollywood, Calif., followed by a party at Los Angeles’ Social on Oct. 10. Anchor Bay will release the DVD on Dec. 2.

On Oct. 19, Disney held a Pixie Premiere of CG-animated movie Tinker Bell with cast and crew. Tinker Bell will be released on DVD and Blu-ray Oct. 28.

Actor Tim Robbins was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Hollywood, Calif., on Oct. 10. The event coincided with his 50th birthday and Warner’s Dec. 2 Blu-ray release of The Shawshank Redemption.
