OCT. 1 | Barnes & Noble has launched a re-designed Web site, which includes an online review magazine, weekly podcasts and a live Webcast of its in-store events, among other new features.
Located at www.bn.com, the Barnes & Noble publication posts reviews of books, DVDs and music. Podcasts will feature interviews with writers, filmmakers and musicians. Upcoming store events, filmed from its Union Square location, feature Comedy Central’s Stephen Colbert, authors David Halberstam and Alice Sebold, among other well-known personalities.
Also, B&N site users can now check local store availability on products within the search results pages.
Currently, the Barnes & Noble site is heavily promoting an exclusive version of PBS Home Video’s The War—A Ken Burns Film, which includes a 17-track CD with music by Norah Jones and Wynton Marsalis.
