By Susanne Ault -- Video Business, 11/8/2007 6:32:00 PM
NOV. 8 | Warner Premiere has started production on made-for-DVD Another Cinderella Story, a teen romantic comedy starring Disney Channel talent Selena Gomez.
A new spin on the classic Cinderella story, the feature follows Gomez as a high school dancer who has a crush on a prince who also happens to be a popular pop singer. The two are classmates at the same Beverly Hills High School.
Street dates and pricing are not yet set.
Gomez currently headlines Disney Channel show Wizards of Waverly Place. Drew Seely, from High School Musical: The Concert, also stars. Bring it On Again’s Damon Santostefano is directing Another Cinderella Story.
“We are thrilled to continue building upon this beloved and timeless tale with an incredibly enthusiastic cast of young superstars, and veteran performers and filmmakers,” said Diane Nelson, president of Warner Premiere, whose titles are distributed by Warner Home Video.
