By Susanne Ault -- Video Business, 3/19/2008

MARCH 19 | Genius Products Inc. has signed non-exclusive digital distribution agreements with CinemaNow, Netflix and Vudu.

The pact covers select titles from The Weinstein Co. and non-TWC titles. Exact content was not specified.

Genius hopes to extend the reach of its programming through these new digital retail partners.

“The expansion of our interactive and digital commerce distribution will further leverage our platform and expand relationships with our many branded content partners,” said Trevor Drinkwater, president and CEO of Genius. “In 2008, we expect our branded content to represent over 50% of net revenue as we continue to establish relationships with leading retailers to fully leverage our owned and licensed film library properties.”

Patrick Cosson, Vudu VP of marketing, added, “Our agreement with Genius Products adds a whole host of diverse, quality content to our viewer offerings. Through our relationships with every major U.S. movie studio and key independent studios and distributors, Vudu offers our customers the ultimate in digital content.”
