Image creates worldwide TV sales division

MARCH 25 | Image Entertainment has launched a worldwide TV sales division and has named Steve Saltman head of the new unit.
As senior VP of Image Worldwide Television, Saltman will oversee global sales of the supplier’s content across broadcast/cable/satellite channels and pay-per-view and video-on-demand platforms.
Most recently, Saltman worked as senior VP of domestic TV at Image.
Up next for Image’s TV sales operations is offering U.S. TV rights to such feature films as Kevin Bacon’s The Air I Breathe and Philip Seymour Hoffman’s Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead at April’s MIPTV conference.
“The expansion of our TV department increases our sales reach, provides new revenue streams and brings us one step closer to becoming a full service, worldwide entertainment sales and distribution organization,” said David Borshell, chief operating officer at Image.
