Story Line: A serial killer who preys on law officers strikes at the girlfriend (Meyer) of investigating FBI agent Jake Malloy (Stallone), spiraling him into alcoholism and a suicidal depression. Malloy enters a specialized detox program in a remote, snowbound Wyoming institution, but the killing isn't over.

Bottom Line: One of the highest profile films to not get a theatrical release in the U.S. this year, Eye See You, which was produced in 1999 and originally entitled D-Tox, limped across Europe and Asia during the past year to little fanfare or business. What Stateside audiences missed was a strange 28 Days meets Seven hybrid, with bits and pieces from a handful of other troubled lawman/serial killer flicks thrown in for good measure. There's really not too much to recommend about Eye See You save the startlingly high caliber of the cast, which also includes Robert Prosky, Sean Patrick Flannery, Kris Kristofferson, Courtney Vance and Jeffrey Wright. The big surprise is that most of them aren't very good and don't look like they even want to be there, particularly Stallone. "You're in over your head," he mumbles to Polly Walker at one point. Perhaps the star of Get Carter, Driven and now Eye See You should think about where his head has been in the past couple of years. This one's for Sly-hards, solely. --Cyril Pearl
