Gameplay: Rez is a very visual, extremely intoxicating mind-trip, pitting players in a massive computer motherboard (think Tron) with a single goal at hand: destroy a nasty virus that has invaded the system. The beat-heavy music provides padding for the fast-paced action.
Bottom Line: Sega has had great success with alternative sleepers like Samba De Amigo and Space Channel 5. That doesn't necessarily guarantee that Rez will hit big; but with edgy futuristic designs and a hip soundtrack, rentals will probably experience a surge from the techno generation. --Jon M. Gibson
