Story Line: Three lovely sisters in Dublin, Lucy (Hudson), Laura (O'Connor) and Alice (Bradley), meet the man of their dreams--but unfortunately he's the same man, Adam (Townsend). And Adam isn't likely to let any of his sexual conquests get away, even after he becomes engaged to Lucy.
Bottom Line: This terrific, clever romantic comedy combines Stateside studio sensibilities and crisp production quality with a fast-and-loose British style of storytelling that adds a fable-like charm to a very teasing tale. (This could be the only film you'll see in which the cheating boyfriend is actually applauded for his affairs with his betrothed's sisters--you'll understand when you see it.) Unceremoniously dumped onto a handful of screens last May, About Adam will certainly need to be talked up if it's going to rouse of the attention of more than just Kate Hudson fans. However, it's worth the effort, and a strong initial buzz will make help make it click. --Buzz McClain
