Videogame Review: Terminator Salvation: Online Twitter game

By Jennifer Netherby (@travelswithjenn) -- Video Business, 5/4/2009

There’s no denying the cleverness of using the latest high-tech computer communication device to get the word out on Terminator Salvation, the fourth film in the popular franchise. Sony Pictures’ new Twitter game promoting the upcoming theatrical release is the first-ever for the social networking site, in which users post status updates, or “Tweets,” in 140 characters or less. The rules of the game: It’s man vs. machine. Users can join the human resistance against computers by following Terminator Salvation at Resistance2018 on Twitter and logging into the blog. Watch for Tweets with scrambled words and trivia, then reply with the correct answer to earn points. Here’s a Tweet review: @VIDEOBUSINESS “Clever marketing idea, but the word puzzles r either 2 hard or 2 easy. It’s like I’ve joined Sony Marketing, not the Human Resistance.”
