Fox, Disney buy faith, family Web sites

FROM VARIETY: Fox acquisition to be platform for library content

DEC. 5 | FROM VARIETY: Fox Entertainment Group has purchased Beliefnet, while Walt Disney Internet Group has picked up iParenting Media, as the companies look to bolster their faith-based and family operations, respectively, online.

Beliefnet will become part of Fox Digital Media, headed by prexy Dawn Fawcett, and will serve as a platform for library content, as well as News Corp.’s faith-based businesses like HarperCollins’ Zondervan and HarperOne brands and 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment’s Foxfaith label.
