FEB. 14 | Echo Bridge Home Entertainment has installed a new executive team. Nathan Hart, formerly chief financial officer, and Mike Newcomb, formerly head of operations, have been promoted to co-presidents of the home entertainment division. They will share overall responsibility for sales, finance, operations and acquisitions.
Industry veterans Tim Clott, who was president of EBHE, and senior sales executive Dan Gant have left the company in what sources say was a restructuring that involved more widespread layoffs. The company would not comment on any changes beyond Clott and Gant.
“Both Nate and Mike are seasoned home entertainment executives whose ideal combination of management skills will maximize our substantial new financial position,” said Michael Rosenblatt, chairman, president and CEO of EBHE parent Echo Bridge Entertainment, referring to the company’s recently announced corporate credit agreement with JP Morgan, which will allow Echo Bridge to increase acquisitions.
As part of its growth strategy, the company plans to launch titles in its catalog on Blu-ray Disc beginning in April. The company also plans to release titles from its catalog in genre-themed sets.
