To promote DreamWorks and Paramount’s Bee Movie, human-sized bees descended upon New York for some promotional events.

JAN. 10 | Echo Bridge Entertainment plans to step up acquisitions now that it has obtained new financing from JP Morgan Securities, according to Michael Rosenblatt, Echo Bridge chairman, president and CEO.
Echo Bridge's next release bows Feb. 26.
Although financial details weren’t disclosed, Echo Bridge plans to use the financing for acquisitions in 2008 and beyond.
The company wants to purchase individual TV shows and movies along with libraries and even other companies.
Echo Bridge plans to distribute the titles both domestically and internationally as well as in new media channels.
Current Echo Bridge titles include Beer League featuring Artie Lange from The Howard Stern Show, black comedy The Big White starring Robin Williams and Holly Hunter and The Derby Stallion starring High School Musical’s Zac Efron.
The supplier's next release is Inside (street Feb. 26, prebook Jan. 29; DVD $26.99) starring Nicholas D'Agosto (TV's Heroes) and Leighton Meester (TV's Gossip Girl).
