MVD takes in Big Daddy Music Distribution

MARCH 5 | MVD Entertainment Group and Big Daddy Music Distribution are merging their DVD and CD distribution businesses under the MVD name. The merged company will be based at MVD’s facility in Oaks, Pa.
Burt Goldstein, founder of Big Daddy, will become VP of product management for MVD.
Goldstein said one of the reasons he decided to merge with MVD is for that company’s “relationship with video retailers who have expanded their offerings to CDs.”
Both Goldstein and MVD founder Tom Seaman have had long careers in the music business.
