By Cheryl Cheng -- Video Business, 8/11/2008

AUG. 11 | Infinity Entertainment has inked a deal with journalist and broadcaster Rona Barrett to distribute her celebrity interview specials on DVD.

An entertainment reporter, commentator and producer for more than 30 years, Barrett has interviewed such celebrities as Cher, Robin Williams, John Travolta and Carol Burnett, all of which will be included on the DVD Rona Barrett’s Hollywood: Nothing But the Truth.

“Rona Barrett’s stellar career has made her one of the world’s most famed celebrity interviewers,” said Rick Buehler, VP of sales and acquisitions at Infinity. "The Hollywood history she has captured and preserved in her personal library is both fascinating and a great legacy that Infinity Entertainment Group is pleased to bring to DVD."

Barrett said, “It has been my great pleasure to interview a broad range of some of the world’s most interesting people and to watch them grow over the years, both as artists and in their personal lives. I am so pleased to partner with Infinity Entertainment Group to bring some of my favorite interviews from my personal archives to DVD and a new audience.:

Infinity will release Nothing But the Truth on Oct. 28 (prebook Sept. 23; $24.98).

One dollar of each DVD sold will be donated to the Rona Barrett Foundation for the Elderly Poor, which helps senior citizens who are unable to obtain assisted living care.
