PUTUMAYO KIDS
Street: Sept. 30
Prebook: now
> Sesame Street music videos and audio tracks from around the world.

Sure, everyone knows the words to “Rubber Duckie” … but how about singing them in Chinese? This combination DVD/CD release from Putumayo Kids is a trip down memory lane and a primer on world culture. The CD features 13 songs, and the DVD highlights five music videos with diverse backdrops, from Russia to South Africa. Each toe-tapping number is performed with zest and vigor, introducing viewers to different languages, music styles and characters who are indigenous to the respective countries’ versions of Sesame Street.

Shelf Talk: Putumayo is creating point-of-purchase standing floor displays that hold 75 Sesame Street Playground DVD/CD sets. A counter display is in the works, holding 10 products. Putumayo also is developing in-store party packs for retailers to host Sesame Street Playground events. The kit includes 25 posters, an activity plan and reproducible customer handouts.
