> Corny but fun Sasquatch movie.
In this cheesy Sci Fi Channel original, college students are stranded in the snow-covered Himalayas when their plane crashes. With the possibility of rescue becoming remote, the survivors turn to cannibalism. But they aren’t the only hungry ones in the area—a massive hairy beast stalks and kills them one by one. Yeti’s derivative script is by the numbers, but the creature looks suitably fearsome, and the movie has some convincing gore effects.
Shelf Talk: The 12th entry in Genius’ “Maneater” series, Yeti joins a long line of shudder shows that revolve around the slaying of attractive young people. Promote the presence of such recognizable horror/sci-fi players as Stargate SG-1’s Peter DeLuise and scream queen Crystal Lowe (Final Destination 3)—but there’s not much else you can plug.
