DVDEmpire offers free shipping, lowers prices

Also guarantees same-day deliver on in stock DVD, Blu-ray

By Susanne Ault -- Video Business, 12/5/2008

DEC. 5 | DVDEmpire.com has made its free shipping policy more customer friendly, eliminating minimum buying requirements.

Launched to coincide with holiday shopping, the policy also guarantees same-day free shipping for all in-stock items.

At the same time, the site has permanently cut prices on thousands of DVDs and Blu-ray Disc titles, spanning Warner Home Video, Paramount Home Entertainment and Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment. Discounts also have been applied on titles from indie suppliers Criterion Collection, Anchor Bay Entertainment and First Look Entertainment.

“In such a competitive market, it’s essential to set yourself apart,” said Mike Barry, DVDEmpire’s chief business development officer. “We feel that new aggressive prices and free shipping, when coupled with our outstanding customer service will appeal to movie fans tired of waiting days on end for their orders to ship.”
