Warner Archive adds silent films, more classics

JUNE 4 | PHYSICAL: Manufacturing-on-demand service Warner Archive Collection will be offering 21 additional classic movies, most of which have not yet been seen in any home entertainment format.
Highlights now available include 1934 Oscar Best Picture nominee Flirtation Walk with Dick Powell and Ruby Keeler and Bright Leaf starring Gary Cooper and Lauren Bacall. Silent films also will be unveiled for the first time on Warner Archive on June 15. Included in that batch are Min and Bill with Marie Dressler and When a Man Loves with John Barrymore, among others.
Warner Archive generally offers titles as DVDs for $19.95 and digital downloads for $14.95. DVDs are authored and shipped to customers within five days of purchase.
Customers also can now find discounted classic film collections at the Archive, housed within Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group. One Cooper-starring collection, containing Bright Leaf, Saratoga Trunk, Task Force, Operator 13, Today We Live and One Sunday Afternoon, is tagged at $59.95 ($119.70 if purchased individually). The Powell/Keeler collection is comprised of Flirtation Walk, Shipmates Forever, Colleen, Happiness Ahead and Ready, Willing and Able, and is priced at $49.95 ($99.75 if bought separately).
Warner Archive now has 207 titles within its offerings.
