All 12 of the included short films have not yet been released on DVD. The set is priced at $19.98. A never-seen interview with Lucas, plus interviews with Zemeckis and Richard L. Bare, are among the Reel Talent extras.

The featured Lucas films are racing movie 1:42:08 A Man and His Car, the futuristic Electronic Labyrinth THX 1138 4EB and chase flick Freiheit.

May 23, 2007 | Link This | Email this | Comments (2)

Fox will bring I Think I Love My Wife to store aisles on Aug. 7 (prebook July 11) after a dismal performance in theaters.

Other than starring Chris Rock, comedy is a hard sell. Here's the press release's description: "the hilarious comedy stars funny man Chris Rock (The Longest Yard, Head of State) as a man with everything, including the perfect marriage - but despite having it all, he is bored out of his suburban mind and can’t help but fantasize about having nearly ever woman he sees." So where's the story?

I Think I Love My Wife grossed $12.5 million, but its reviews were lacking. Variety's Brian Lowry said, "Anyone expecting the wild-and-crazy, ...Read More

Factory Girl update, Matrix HD DVD trailer

May 22, 2007 | Link This | Email this | Comments (3)

So it turns out that Weinstein Co. is releasing Factory Girl is only in an Unrated Director's Cut version. The R-rated theatrical version will not be available on disc -- at least not yet. The unrated version has 15 minutes extra. Here's my original post on the DVD.

Also, with the HD DVD version of The Matrix Trilogy in stores today -- my husband watched the first movie on HD DVD over the weekend and it looked stunning -- Warner has set up a trailer online that shows the HD DVD In Movie Experience, basically picture-in-picture with the featurettes playing over the movie in the background. Check it out ...Read More

May 22, 2007 | Link This | Email this | Comments (0)

If you're anything like my husband and I, you're really bummed Heroes is over ... until the next season. I haven't seen the finale from last night yet -- we have it recorded on our DVR -- but I'm already looking forward to the next season.

The show is really great. Finally, something fun and exciting on TV to look forward to watching.

Universal is bringing season one out on DVD ($59.98) and HD DVD (yay! $99.98, wow!) on Aug. 28 (but we're...Read More
