By Susanne Ault -- Video Business, 5/4/2009

MAY 4 | DIGITAL: The Digital Entertainment Group has added Deloitte and DivX as new associate members.

With more than 500 media/entertainment clients in the U.S., Deloitte helps companies identify ways to reduce costs as well as aid in solving operational problems.

DivX is behind technology that allows people to create and share digital video across a variety of devices, without running into incompatibility issues.

The DEG now encompasses 64 members.

“As our industry continues to evolve, we invite the participation of all companies to help us explore new horizons for entertainment technology,” said Ron Sanders, DEG president and Warner Home Video president. “Deloitte and DivX are both welcome additions to the DEG and we are eager to have their participation.”
