SEPT. 18 | Sonopress has a new name, as part of a reorganization of parent company Bertelsmann AG's media services operations.
Hülskötter
The replicator is now included with Arvato Digital Services, a division that combines the Bertelsmann AG's services to content providers from postproduction to distribution under one corporate umbrella. Formerly, Bertelsmann's Arvato Storage Media Group—Sonopress in the U.S.—operated independently from the Arvato Service business that provided fulfillment and supply chain management solutions.
As Arvato Digital Services, the division will now offer its postproduction and replication services alongside distribution and supply chain management.
Arvato Digital Services will provide financial services and electronic content distribution as well, all of which will be supported by consistent IT systems.
No personnel downsizing is planned with the reorganization.
The move comes in response to an increased demand by clients across product segments and around the world for integrated service packages.
Arvato AG executive board member Hans-Peter Hülskötter will serve as CEO of the new division. He is based in Los Angeles to work more closely with key customers in the video, audio, games and technology businesses.
