FEB. 21 | FROM TWICE: As expected, former HD DVD exclusive studio Paramount officially announced it will now produce high-definition movies on Blu-ray Disc, a day after Toshiba pulled the plug on the HD DVD format, according to a published report.

Paramount, which briefly carried high-def discs in both formats before agreeing to incentives to side exclusively with HD DVD last year, and its affiliated DreamWorks Animation had been the last of the major studios to publicly acknowledge Blu-ray Disc support. All six major Hollywood studios are now on board with Blu-ray Disc.
