Lionsgate delivers romance with Harlequin titles

FEB. 25 | Lionsgate is wooing mothers with romance. On April 29, the studio is releasing two volumes of movies from the Harlequin line.
Lionsgate is releasing two volumes of romance movies.
Each Harlequin Triple Feature set contains three discs and is priced at $14.98.
Vol. 3 contains A Change of Place (1994), The Waiting Game (1998) and Diamond Girl (1998). Vol. 4 offers The Awakening (1994), Broken Lullaby (1994) and Loving Evangeline (1998).
Rick Springfield stars in A Change of Place, about a fashion designer who is the object of love for a twin who is impersonating her identical sister.
Another singer/actor, Paula Abdul, stars in The Waiting Game, about two best friends since college who fall in love while mounting their first art show and searching for the perfect man.
Diamond Girl, about a dowdy paralegal who transforms into a beauty, stars Dyan Cannon.
Thirtysomething's Mel Harris plays a genealogist who's researching her aunt's mysterious past in Broken Lullaby. She finds romance with an art dealer who is linked to her aunt.
And The O.C.'s Kelly Rowan headlines Loving Evangeline, about the rich and powerful president of a software company who is convinced by a woman that his brother's death was not an accident.
While these titles are timed for Mother's Day, Lionsgate released the first two Harlequin Triple Features volumes timed for Valentine's Day.
Vol. 1 included This Matter of Marriage with 24's Leslie Hope, At the Midnight Hour with Patsy Kensit, and Another Woman starring Justine Bateman.
Vol. 2 contained Recipe for Revenge featuring Corbin Bernsen, Hard to Forget with La Femme Nikita's Polly Shannon and Treacherous Beauties starring Dynasty's Emma Samms.
