Vivendi to distribute DIC digitally

Deal includes Web VOD, electronic sell-through, mobile applications

MAY 30 | Vivendi Entertainment will distribute kidvid specialist DIC Entertainment’s titles in digital channels, including for Internet video-on-demand, electronic sell-through and mobile applications. 

The deal marks Vivendi’s first licensing agreement for digital distribution. A Vivendi spokeswoman said it was too early to discuss specifics about DIC titles and where they will be made available. 

DIC properties include Inspector Gadget, Madeline, Horseland, Dino Squad, Liberty’s Kids, Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario Bros. and The Littles.
