Baker & Taylor revamps logo, Web site

PHYSICAL: Changes reflect expansion of digital capabilities

By Susanne Ault -- Video Business, 5/29/2009

MAY 29 | PHYSICAL: Wholesale distributor Baker & Taylor has revamped its logo and corporate Web site to better reflect its growing digital activities.

Underscored by the tagline ‘the future delivered,’ the logo shows that Baker & Taylor offers integrated physical and digital media distribution services. The logo’s featured four columns can represent either books on shelves, data channels or blocks of creative content.

The Web site has been designed to be easier to navigate, and a new ‘Live Chat’ feature offers enhanced customer service.

Baker & Taylor is rolling out its facelift shortly after partnering with technology firm OverDrive to improve its digital distribution of books, music and video.

“This is truly a new era for Baker & Taylor,” said Tom Morgan, the company’s CEO. “We are making bold strides in becoming the premier provider of bundled physical and digital media services. This new image conveys our strategic direction. We aim to be our suppliers’ and customers’ single, trusted source in this fast-changing digital age.”
