No Argument: Comcast to Have Presidential Debates on Demand

Political junkies, fact checkers and Comcast customers rejoice -- last week's presidential debate and the two future ones, in addition to this week's vice-presidential debate, will be available on demand, courtesy of the largest U.S. cable company.

Comcast, using feeds from C-Span, is using the debates as the centerpiece to what it calls "Elections on Demand," marking more than 30 hours of presidential-election coverage, the company said late last week.

The debates will be available on Comcast the day after they're aired live. So in addition to the Sept. 26 presidential debate between candidates John McCain and Barack Obama, the Oct. 7 and Oct. 15 events will be available as well as the Oct. 2 debate between vice-presidential candidates Joe Biden and Sarah Palin.

Customers watching debates on demand will be able to fast-forward and rewind at their whim, not to mention being able to watch the discussions as many times as they want. That means that no matter how many times Obama or McCain hammer home the same point, you can watch them hammer home that point as many times as you want.
