Another hack to Blu-ray and HD DVD?
February 13, 2007

Not sure what this all means yet, but another hacker claims to have cracked AACS, the copy-protection used for Blu-ray and HD DVD discs. A user identifiying himself/herself? as Arnezami on the Doom9 forum (the same forum where the first hack was posted) posted the processing keys from a high def player that can be used to decrypt all HD DVD and Blu-ray films. Some geek blogs seem thrilled by the news, though I noticed one commenter note that it takes a long time to download a high def movie.
