Bowie, Ask A Ninja Take Home Webbies

Ask A Ninja took home best actor in the new online film and video category at last night's Webbie Awards, which the NY Times once called the Oscars for the Web. But much more nerdy.

Winners were limited to five word speeches. Cool as ever David Bowie, who got a lifetime achievement award, should also get an award for best acceptance: "I only get five words? Shit, that was five. Four more there. That's three. Two."
Smart, that David Bowie.

LonelyGirl 15 took home the award for Best Actress and the Diet Coke and Mentos guys won for best viral video.

Here's Ask A Ninja doing a review of Pirates of the Caribbean 3, which is kind of more entertaining than the movie and much shorter.

I think that the whole HD DVD and Blu Ray initiatives (pseudo war, my butt) is being controlled by psychic pirates who are trying to take over the world with a powerful laser beam that will forever destroy reason and respect for consumers!!! Mark my words, the pirates want everyone to have these incredibly expensive machines that remove your privacy so that one day before everyone notices that HD isn't really much better than standard DVD, all the lasers will all turn on and BAM! the pirates will take over. Just a thought. Don't say you weren't warned.
