Denise Austin: Body Makeover Mix - DVD Review

By Cindy Spielvogel -- Video Business, 11/18/2009

LIONSGATE
Street: Dec. 1
Prebook: now
> Austin makes her workout routines over yet again.

Is there anyone who has released more workout videos than Denise Austin? Even though she has been doing this for a long time, she still aims for top form, both physically and in terms of keeping up with the trends. Her latest title takes on the “makeover” trend, promising a better body in one month. Three separate 15-minute routines are presented: one for the upper body, one for the lower and one for the middle.

Shelf Talk: While following these routines probably isn’t all one needs to do to get a better body, doing the workouts can contribute. Each begins with relatively easy exercises followed by more difficult floor work, such as push-ups. Austin has a generally peppy personality, but she does her best to keep her voice somewhat soothing and gently encouraging this time. If you don’t want to hear her at all, you can choose the music-only option that mutes her instruction.

Fitness, color, NR (nothing offensive), 49 min., DVD $14.98, UPC: 012236105497
Extras: custom workout option, music-only option
Director: Cal Pozo
First Run: DVD premiere
