Star Trek travels to top of market data charts
PHYSICAL: My Sister's Keeper was No. 2 DVD rental

NOV. 25 | PHYSICAL: Paramount Home Entertainment’s sci-fi adventure update Star Trek was the No. 1 DVD and Blu-ray Disc seller, according to Rentrak.
Star Trek was No. 1 in DVD and Blu-ray sales and rentals.
In anticipation of the DVD and Blu-ray release of J.J. Abrams’ summer blockbuster, which grossed $257.7 million at the box office, retailers including Blockbuster and Hastings hosted midnight release parties.
Popular among renters, Warner Home Video’s new release My Sister’s Keeper, starring Cameron Diaz and Abigail Breslin, was the No. 2 DVD rental and No. 9 Blu-ray rental. Based on Jodi Picoult’s popular book, Nick Cassavetes’ $49.2 million-grossing film also was the No. 4 DVD seller.
Another notable new release, Universal Studios Home Entertainment’s controversial comedy Bruno, starring Sacha Baron Cohen, entered the Top 10 of the DVD and Blu-ray renter and seller charts.
And following the boffo box-office opening of Summit’s The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Summit Home Entertainment’s Twilight, which is the best-selling DVD so far this year, moved up the DVD sales charts to No. 8.
