SEPT. 11 | Docurama is releasing the fifth installment in its film festival series with podcast interviews with the filmmakers.
The three main titles in 12-title Docurama Film Festival V are A Lion in the House, an Emmy winner about children with cancer; Cine Manifest, a humorous look at the ’70s San Francisco Marxist film collective; and Critical Condition, about the health care system.
The other titles are Arctic Sun, Fall From Grace, Liberia: An Uncivil War, Passing Poston, Cinematographer Style, Virginia Lee Burton: A Sense of Place, On the Downlow, Family Name and Questioning Faith.
The titles will be available on Sept. 23 as individual DVDs priced at $26.95 each or in a Platinum Package of all 12 films for $279.95, a 15% savings.
“These documentaries expound on the current highly charged economic and social climate we are living in today, with films from political to LGBT, from murder mystery to hot button social issues,” said Liz Ogilvie, head programmer for Docurama.
The Docurama Film Festival was designed to give fans the experience of going to a film festival without the travel costs.
