EMA names Shore comedian of the year

MAY 6 | Comedian Pauly Shore will be recognized as Comedy Entertainer of the Year by the Entertainment Merchants Assn. at the organization’s Home Entertainment Awards on June 24 in Las Vegas.

“Pauly Shore is a true original. We’re pleased to recognize him with our Comedy Entertainer of the Year Award for his unconventional and unique comedy,” said EMA president Bo Andersen.
Shore most recently wrote, directed and starred in the comedy Natural Born Komics, now available on DVD from First Look. In the film, Shore and his celebrity friends do impromptu acts around South Beach, Fla.
Other honorees include independent filmmaker Henry Jaglom, who will receive the Independent Career Achievement award; actor Cam Gigandet, with the Rising Male Star of the Year Award; Happy Days duo Don Most and Anson Williams, with the Legendary Television Duo Award; and actor Ed Begley Jr., the Humanitarian Award.
EMA’s annual Home Media Expo will take place June 24-26 at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
