Gary Jones named president of Porchlight Home Entertainment

By Cindy Spielvogel -- Video Business, 3/18/2008

MARCH 18 | Porchlight Entertainment, a worldwide producer and distributor of family programming, has promoted Gary Jones to president of its home entertainment division.

Jones joined Porchlight last year as senior VP to launch the Porchlight Home Entertainment label.

In its first year, the label released titles including LeapFrog: A Tad of Christmas Cheer along with releases from the series Wheels On the Bus, Travel With Kids and Farmkids, among others.

Before joining Porchlight, Jones held positions at home entertainment industry companies including New Concorde, Trimark and Republic Pictures.

“Porchlight Entertainment’s standing in the industry allowed me to assemble a strong slate of product from day one and enabled me to undertake an aggressive plan of growth immediately,” Jones said. He oversaw DVD acquisitions, sales, marketing and operations from the ground up.

Upcoming releases will include titles in series currently airing on TV, such as Loopdidoo, 64 Zoo Lane and Animalia, along with Adventures From the Book of Virtues.
