Reel Indies to offer independent films, documentaries
By Laurence Lerman -- Video Business, 3/9/2007
MARCH 9 | Minneapolis-based supplier Mill Creek Entertainment will premiere a new brand called Reel Indies, which will showcase independent feature films and documentaries.
The Reel Indies line is the result of a creative alliance formed between Mill Creek and distribution outfit Breakthrough Distribution, which is led by Liam Finn, the former VP of Filmmakers Alliance.
The first eight titles in the series include Little Man, Into the Air: A Kiteboarding Experience, The Dogwalker, Fellowship of the Dice, Trona, Shorty, Mend and Boone Style.
They will be available on April 24 (prebook March 27) for a suggested retail price of $14.98 each.
Mill Creek plans to issue four Reel Indies titles per month beginning in June through September 2007.
