28 Weeks Later DVD
July 11, 2007

The zombies are back.

28 Weeks Later scared up $28.4 million in theaters, a little more than half the box-office of the original 28 Days Later. Still, it's horror, it's zombies, it's a franchise. It's bound to be a DVD hit.

Besides, it got 71% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes and 82% from users. Sounds like it's gearing up to be a Halloween classic.

Fox is delivering the DVD on Oct. 9 (prebook Sept. 12) priced at $29.98. And it comes packed with extras: 13 minutes of deleted scenes, three behind-the-scenes featurettes, director's commentary and, perhaps most interestly, Flash-animated segments 28 Days Later: The Aftermath, which are based on the Fox Atomic Comics graphic novel and bridge the story line between Days and Weeks.
