SEPT. 10 | Warner Home Video and the National Hockey League have extended their DVD production and distribution partnership for another five years.

Over that time frame, Warner will release worldwide a minimum of six new NHL titles annually. Warner retains DVD and digital sell-through distribution rights to all new releases and select catalog titles.

Upcoming Warner NHL releases include Greatest Games in Pittsburgh Penguins History and 2007 Stanley Cup Champions: Anaheim Ducks Special Edition.

Warner and NHL will collaborate on creating the titles, which will feature team histories, championship seasons, player profiles and complete games.

“When it comes to passion and loyalty, it’s hard to top what the NHL has to offer,” said Jeff Brown, Warner senior VP and general manager of TV, sports and franchises. “We are thrilled to continue our relationship with the NHL, and we look forward to expanding our joint venture into non-traditional avenues, which will only help grow the brand even more.”

NHL senior executive VP of business and media John Collins said, “The commitment and dedication Warner Home Video has for hockey is displayed in all of the high-quality NHL products in their catalog. We are looking forward to working together to take the NHL home video market to the next level.”
