> A wild ride that crams a lot of high-spirited fun into less than two hours.
The first American release from British company Revolver Entertainment, 3000 Miles documents the eighth Gumball Rally, a 120-vehicle extravaganza that began in London, headed through Belgium, Vienna, Belgrade and ultimately finished in Los Angeles at the Playboy Mansion. Participants include skateboarders Tony Hawk and Mike Vallely, Jackass regulars Bam Margera and Ryan Dunn and BMX rider Mike “Rooftop” Escamilla. It looks like a good time was had by all, and the DVD, which condenses the eight-day event in less than two hours, is just as much fun.
Shelf Talk: The free-wheeling, daredevil nature of 3000 Miles puts it on par with any number of extreme sports videos, and with such recognizable stars as Hawk and Margera, you can easily piggyback this release off the Jackass discs and others that primarily appeal to young males.
