City Lights' DVD has different stories inspired by the Ten Commandments.

DEC. 20 | Single DVD packages offering multiple stories are in the DVD pipeline.

Perhaps the most high-profile set is The Ten, coming from City Lights (distributed by WEA) on Jan. 15 (order now; DVD $26.98). Inspired by each of the Ten Commandments, the movie consists of inter-connected stories starring Leiv Schreiber, Winona Ryder and others.

On Feb. 26, Microcinema will release Warts & All: The Films of Danny Plotnick, a collection of short films including “Swingers’ Serenade,” “Steel Belted Romeos” and “Flip About Flip.” Prebook is Jan. 29, and the set will be priced at $19.99.

Water Bearer Films delivers The Short Films of Constantie Giannaris on Jan. 8 (order now; DVD $26.95). The disc offers “Caught Looking,” about a gay man’s sexual fantasies; “North of Vortex,” about a bisexual poet; and “A Place in the Sun,” about a middle-age man falling in love with a boy.

And on Jan. 29 (prebook Dec. 27; DVD $27.96), Sony debuts The Nines, with three short films featuring the same actors in different roles.
