See you in Vegas, John Schneider

Hey, John Schneider called me at home yesterday. 

When I told people at the office, they all took it at face value and believed John Schneider called (such are the perks of being a big-time entertainment magazine editor.) 

But the truth is, John Schneider called me and hundreds or thousands of others, on behalf of the Home Media Expo. You know, one of those prerecorded, get-out-the-vote type calls you usually get on election day. (Last election, Bill Clinton and Robert Redford both called my father!)

After identifying himself as of Dukes of Hazzard  and Smallville fame, John invited me to join him and "the infamous General Lee" at Home Media Expo (formerly the VSDA show), where he'll be promoting his new movie Collier & Co.: Hot Pursuit!, from Westlake Entertainment. "This is the one event all year that you cannot afford to miss," Schneider told me.

Clearly, if John Schneider's going to be at the Venetian next week, I need to be there, too. I'm just wondering why he waited so long to ask. If he  VSDA Home Media Expo hasn't filled all its suites/rooms/parties yet, I'm wondering how many people even the General Lee can drag there.
