Underdog DVD, Blu-ray
September 28, 2007
Disney will fly out Underdog on Dec. 18, the same day Fox will deliver The Simpsons Movie. Both are based on animated TV shows but have different audiences.
With a gross of $41.8 million in theaters, Underdog has plenty of potential viewers for DVD who missed it. I did see it and can report it's cute.
It will be released on both DVD and Blu-ray (sorry, HD DVD lovers, Disney is strictly Blu-ray only right now), priced at $29.99 and $34.99, respectively.
Here's the list of special features:
Both the DVD and Blu-ray Disc come with engaging bonus features, including:
· Hilarious Deleted Scenes and Bloopers!
· “Underdog Raps”—A music video featuring Kyle Massey, star of Disney Channels hit show “Cory on the House.”
· Underdog Original Cartoon Episode: “Safe Waif,” the very first cartoon episode featuring the caped canine.
· Sit, Stay, Act: Diary of a Dog Actor—Shoeshine gives fans a peek at the making of the movie from his point of view. In an entertaining feature, Underdog “digs up” the real behind-the-scenes dirt.
The Blu-ray™ version includes these additional features:
· Simon Barsinister’s First Television Appearance—An additional original cartoon episode, featuring the first appearance of Underdog’s underhanded nemesis.
· Seven Minutes of Additional Deleted Scenes
· Sound and Audio.
