The Rocker DVD and Blu-ray
November 21, 2008

Rainn Wilson is a hit on The Office, but his comedy The Rocker failed to do much at the box office, grossing a measly $6.4 million. His following will no doubt expand in the home market, however, when the movie bows on DVD and Blu-ray on Jan. 27 (prebook Dec. 31).

Fox has priced the discs at $29.98 for DVD and $39.99 for Blu-ray.

Home viewers will be treated to a Born to Rock Edition, which Fox describes as "fully loaded." You be the judge. Here's the extras list for both versions:

·       Digital copy movie file for portable media players

·       Commentary with director Peter Cattaneo and actor Rainn Wilson

·      Commentary with actors Josh Gad, Teddy Geiger, Emma Stone and Jason Sudeikis

·      10 Deleted Scenes

·      Gag Reel (including separate options of “Matt Gags” and “Vesuvius Gags”)

·      Rainn Wilson: Office Rockerfeaturette

·       Pete Best Interview featurette

·       Behind The Band: Vesuvius featurette

·       Rock Beat With Fish Fishman featurette

·       The Music of The Rocker featurette

·       Rock Tales featurette

·       MTV Film Festival Panel

·       Fox Movie Channel Presents…In Character With The Rocker

·       “I’m Not Bitter” music video

·       Four exclusive podcasts

·       Vesuvius Public Service Announcements

Looks good to me, especially the Office Rocker featurette. I'm a big Office fan. What do you think of the lineup?

Here's the trailer for the movie in case you were one of the many, many, many who missed it in theaters:
