Dark Knight DVD, Blu-ray
September 26, 2008

Warner has finally set a date for its $521.9 million-grossing The Dark Knight. The blockbuster Batman film will fly into stores Dec. 9 (prebook Oct. 28) on DVD ($28.98), two-DVD ($34.99) and Blu-ray ($35.99).

Bonus features on the two-DVD will include a look at the Imax scenes of the film. Blu-ray will have a making-of featurette with director Christopher Nolan, documentaries, digital copy and BD Live.

The record-breaking film, which stars Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne and Batman, also was well publicized as Heath Ledger’s last role before his untimely death. Ledger’s turn as Joker has been rumored to be Oscar-worthy.
