Slamdance online

Film festival Slamdance has partnered with Indieroad.net to stream the 2009 films a couple hours after they screen, reports VB sister publication Variety.
Streams will be priced at $9, with the filmmakers, Slamdance and Indieroad each getting a third.
The films, screening at Slamdance Jan. 15-23, will stream on indieroad.net/slamdance.
Slamdance head Peter Baxter says: "It's a way of empowering the filmmaker at a time when many are still dependent on a broken distribution system."
